Spider Lollipop
In the dark corners of your home, they lurk – the eight-legged creatures that teach us to be afraid. But what if you could create these creepy critters yourself? With simple materials like pipe cleaners, lollipops, and googly eyes, you can craft a spooky spider that makes for a perfect "trick or treat" goodie.
Materials:
- 1 lollipop (preferably with a round head)
- 4 pipe cleaners (black or another dark color)
- 2 googly eyes (self-adhesive)
- Scissors
Instructions:
- Prepare the legs: Cut the pipe cleaners in half so that you have 8 equal-length pieces. These will be the spider's legs.
- Attach the legs: Take the lollipop and place it so that the stick is pointing down. Wrap the pieces of pipe cleaner around the stick of the lollipop, just below the lollipop head. Distribute the legs evenly around the stick so that there are four legs on each side.
- Shape the legs: Bend the pipe cleaners so they look like spider legs. You can slightly bend them in the middle to form knees and curve the ends upward a bit.
- Attach the eyes: Stick the googly eyes onto the center of the pipe cleaners. You can place them side by side or slightly offset, depending on how you want your spider to look.
- Finishing touches: Check that all the legs are securely attached and the eyes are firmly stuck. You can reshape the legs again until you are satisfied with the appearance of the spider.
And your spider is ready! Have fun crafting!
